The continuous growth in German commercial csince the beginning of 2010 has come to a halt in the second quarter of 2012. Growth rates had previously flattened out in the preceding quarters. At 40,931 units production of heavy commercial vehicles weighing more than 6 tonnes (including busses) now fell below year-ago levels for the first time between April and June 2012. Manufacturing of light commercial vehicles weighing up to 6 tonnes also fell by 4.8% to 63,255 units. A total of 104,186 of commercial vehicles were thus produced in the second quarter, which equates to a reduction by 5.1%.
