South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motors has launched the second generation of its Rondo compact multi purpose vehicle (MPV) in Australia.
The seven-seater vehicle is made available in both the petrol and diesel variants including the 2L GDI four-cylinder engine petrol engine generates an output of 122kW and 213Nm of torque, while offering acceleration of 0-100km/h in 10.8sec.
Fuel consumption offered by the petrol engine is claimed to be 7.9L/100km a decrease from 8.6L of its predecessor and CO2 emissions of 184g/km.
The vehicle is also available with the 1.7L turbo-diesel four cylinder engine that delivers an output of 100kW and 320Nm of torque, while offering 0-100km/h of acceleration in 12sec and fuel consumption of 6.4L/100km with CO2 emissions of 170g/km.
Both the variants have been made available with six-speed auto transmission that has replaced the superseded five-speed manual or four-speed auto option in its predecessors.
Based on the features the vehicle is available in three variants, among which the Si version features 16-inch alloys, cruise control, multi-function trip computer, 4.3inch touch control screen, Bluetooth with steering wheel-mounted controls, power windows and tinted glass.
The vehicles mid-spec SLi version has 17inch alloys, front parking beepers, LED daytime runners, leather trim seats, fold-flat front passenger seat, 10-way power adjustable driver's seat, puddle lighting on the wing mirrors, roof rails, privacy glass, paddle shifters, a 4.2inch color TFT instrument cluster, auto switching on all windows and dual-zone climate control.
Features of the top-shelf Platinum variant include 18-inch alloys, an electronic park brake, keyless entry and start, HID headlights with washers, LED taillights, a panoramic sunroof, side window curtain blinds on the mid row, seven-inch full touch screen, heated/cooled front seats and a heated steering wheel.
