Mold Release Agent Helps Process pMDI Particle Board Cincinnati, OH (April 24, 2014) – Adding to its line of mold release agents for the wood composites industry, Michelman has introduced Michem Wood Release 2137, a mold release agent used in the production of particle board that uses pMDI as the adhesive.
Dilutable with Water
The product produces a low COF interaction that allows wood to release cleanly from the press platen while producing a lighter colored board with little to no buildup. Users can benefit from a low application rate and little to no nasal irritation. It is dilutable with water and is applied by spraying over the fiber mat.
Michem Wood Release 2137 also provides memory, but resists transfer from the wood fiber to the process, minimizing process slip issues while increasing productivity.
