Saturday, February 01, 2014: “Alessi in Love”, the meta project born on the initiative of LAURA POLINORO - LPWK DESIGN STUDIO in collaboration , the web platform for participatory design, is coming to an end with the selection of the eight participants to the workshop that will be held from January 25 to 27, 2014.
The contest has seen great success at an international level with a large participation of creative talents and designers from 132 countries around the world, more than 65,000 visits and 470,000 page views, 778 participants and a total amount of 1184 design proposals, all exploring new registers for the love gift.
The eight participants selected by a jury headed by Alberto Alessi (Alessi spa president) – Aki Motoyama (Japan), Amen Studio (Italy), Andrés Lhima (Mexico), David Santacruz (Colombia), Lucia Barna ss67lab (Italy), Mauricio Aragon (Colombia), Mean Design Studio (USA) and Raquel Pedrali (Italy) – are going to develop their projects submitted for the contest during the three-days event guided by Laura Polinoro, Alessi consultant for the development of new collections.
The workshop, starting on Saturday January 25th and ending on Monday January 27th, will be held in two different locations: the first part will be hosted at H-Farm – venture incubator that has been helping and fostering innovative startups focused on web services and new media for years – during which the designers, aided by Laura Polinoro, will refine their projects published on Desall.com; the second part will continue at the Alessi venues in Crusinallo, where the participants will come in contact with the production and technical assets of the company.
