Action camera giant GoPro has acquired website and software developer General Things, Inc.
The San Francisco, California, company had worked with GoPro since 2010, helping it advance its business backend and consumer-facing website. GoPro recently launched a new website, developed with General Things, to support the release of its new HERO3+ line of cameras.
"The team at General Things has contributed tremendously to GoPro's success across the digital landscape. They will play a key role in helping us realize our mission to enable people to easily capture, manage and share engaging life content," Nicholas Woodman, founder and CEO of GoPro, said in a press release.
General Things recently made Inc. Magazine's annual list of 5,000 fastest-growing companies. Its client roster includes National Geographic, Cisco, Netgear and Think Tank.
