German maker of chain saws and outdoor power tools STIHL has completed an expansion project in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, east China.
The local plant being expanded is completed in 2006. This time, area coverage is widened from 22,500 to 39,000 square meters.
STIHL has totally put EUR 17 million for the expansion. The plant currently has 711 employees and will create 200 more jobs after being expanded. STIHL totally has more than 2,800 employees in China.
Products made in China by STIHL have been sold to nearly 70 nations worldwide, mostly exported to Europe, Latin America and Russia. More products are being sold to Asia.
