ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA, one of the major stainless steel producers in the US announced to cut its alloy surcharge for December in response to lower nickel prices.
After the adjustment, the firm's December alloy surcharges for 304 grade stainless coils decreased to US$0.73/lb. from US$0.79/lb. in November.
Also, its alloy surcharges for 316 grades coils dropped to US$1.03/lb. from US$1.12/lb.
However, ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA increased the alloy surcharges for 430 grade s to US$0.22/lb. from US$0.20/lb.
