The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain of Seoul's Banpo Bridge has set the Guinness World Record for the world's longest bridge fountain. Moonlight's nearly 10,000 LED nozzles span's 3,740 feet or 0.708 of a mile along both sides of the bridge.
The water is pumped directly from the river itself and is continuously recycled, shooting out 190 tons of water per minute. The bridge uses 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles on each side, shooting as far as 141 feet horizontally.
The Banpo Bridge in downtown Seoul transports commuters and visitors of all kinds over the Han River, South Korea, connecting the Seocho and Yongsan districts. The Banpo Bridge is on top of Jamsu Bridge, forming a type of "double deck" bridge.
During periods where rainfall is high, the lower Jamsu Bridge is designed to submerge when the water level of the river rises. Installed in September 2009, Seoul's Banpo Bridge is praised by many, compliments the already beautiful city and showcases Seoul's eco-friendliness.
