Today, April 1, is the last day to register for the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA)-sponsored International Floorcovering Installers (CFI) Atlanta-area training and certification course April 8-11 in Doraville, Ga.
WFCA vice president, Tom Jennings will discuss customer service skills -stressing the importance of a good presentation, outstanding "people skills" and the ability to communicate that installers bring to the flooring experience for the customer.
CFI's Jim Walker will share ideas in the Carpet Installation Knowledge and Inspection Workshop to understand quality installation and how to recognize difficult situations. Participants will gain knowledge in two days about not only carpet construction, but also how specific carpets respond to various conditions, installation techniques and methods to correct problems should they occur.
