Toshiba America Medical Systems has added a wireless detector to its RADREX-i digital radiographic (DR) X-ray system.
The RADREX-i wireless detector features a new lightweight, cableless 14'x17' panel and incorporates advanced automated RexSpeed features and RexView with image preview.
The detector can be used in tabletop imaging of extremities such as hands, wrists, forearms and feet, and wheel chair and gurney patient imaging, which provides technologists with added flexibility while improving workflow.
In addition, the wireless panel when positioned more closely to the anatomy improves image quality.
Toshiba America Medical Systems X-ray vascular business unit director Stephen Bumb said RADREX-i wireless improves productivity and versatility while providing more patient-friendly exams.
"The system can accommodate virtually all patient types and makes imaging safer with its RexProtect dose saving features," Bumb added.
