Proposal of solution

The independent GS certification for special battery packs to be used in products is possible under following conditions:

EN 62133,or the proof by an independent third party must be given

b)  The battery is addition to be test with the end product for which it is intended. Besides,
special attention to  the following test is to be directed

c)  The battery pack is tested together with the  designated end  product with special
     attention to the following:
o Temperature (at different operation modes e.g. charging and simultaneous operation)
o Charging (fast charging, permanent charging, fast discharging etc.)
o The special battery packs are coded for the end product and may not be
           interchangeable with other products.

d)  On the GS certificate the product, in which the battery packs are used, has to be clearly listed.

e)  For lithium cells and batteries verifications about the UN transportation regulation 38.3 must be given.

f)  For batteries which are integrated into appliances or which are provided together with an appliance,
