Stages Cycling has released a firmware update for its Stages power meter.
The company said the update corrects issues that have emerged as more consumers use the crank-based meter with a variety of head units and other equipment; in particular it eliminates issues that arose with use of iPhones as the recording device. The update also improves performance of the meter's cadence function.
Consumers or retailers can install the firmware using Stages' iPhone app with a Bluetooth 4.0-compatible iPhone or iPad (iPhone 4s and 5, third generation iPad).
