The US faces a shortage of fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving Day, foreign media reported. Butterball, the largest turkey porducer in the US, said their orders for rutkeys were being cut by 50%, because the turkeys at some of its farms failed to gain weight this year. Butterball accounets for 20% of the US market, producting 1b pounds of turkey every year.
