It’s reported that the rebar transaction activity was going slowly in the Taiwanese market in the past four weeks.
However, since most of end buyers have run out of rebar stocks and global scrap price has kept rising, it caused Taiwanese local buyers have finally decided to restart their rebar purchase in this week.
Currently, the dealing rebar price in the market is about NT$17,300~NT$17,400/ton and mills total order received quantity from their major distributors should be about 70,000 to 80,000 tons.
It is said that as the Taiwanese mills have received enough orders and the global scrap price has kept rising, it is highly possibility for Taiwan's rebar price to rise by NT$200/ton next week.
