The Korean steel giant Posco has resumed the facilities at its No.2 steelmaking plant in Gwangyang works after a shutdown in August due to a fire in the plant. Posco stated that its No. 1 converter was resumed on September 2nd and the No.2 was started on September 3rd. Meanwhile, Posco has initiated the maintenance work at its No.1 hot strip mill in Gwangyang works during September 2nd and September 8th.
