Taiwan-based ODM Inventec has obtained PV(photovoltaic)module orders from a Japan-based client and has begun shipments,according to company chairman Richard Lee.
While Inventec has been an ICT product supplier for the client,the client has extended business operation to solar energy and placed orders for PV modules with Inventec,Lee explained.Lee did not identify the client,but industry sources speculated that the client is probably Toshiba.
Inventec expects its solar energy business to improve in 2013,Lee said.
