According to Belgian Steel Federation (GSV), Belgium’s crude steel output totaled 1.8 million tons in the first quarter of this year, down by 4% year on year but rising by 5.1% from a quarter ago.
In the first quarter of this year, the country’s output of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 1.77 million tons, increasing by 17% year on year and rising by 18.9% from a month ago; those of cold rolled coils (CRC) were at 1.2 million tons, soaring by 22.3% from a month earlier.
In the given period of time, Belgium’s outputs of coated steel products were at 962,000 tons, down by 4% year on year but rising by 15.6% from the previous month.
