Epistar Had February Consolidated Revenues of NT$1.982 Billion

Epistar, the largest Taiwan-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker, had February consolidated revenues of NT$1.982 billion (US$65.4 million) increasing by 4.95% on month and by 57.48% on year, while the largest Taiwan-based LED packaging service provider Everlight Electronics saw those of NT$1.886 billion decrease on month by 10.53% but grow on year by 30.64%, according to the companies.

Epistar has landed large-volume orders for LED chips used in backlighting of LCD TVs from South Korea-based vendors.

Epistar brought in January-February consolidated revenues of NT$3.871 billion, hiking by 48.29% on year, while Everlight had those of NT$3.994 billion, rising on year by 28.99%.

Taiwan-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Lextar Electronics saw February consolidated revenues of NT$881 million slip on month by 27.72% but rise on year by 6.41% and January-February figure of NT$2.100 billion grow on year by 17.99%. LED packaging house Unity Opto Technology recorded February consolidated revenues of NT$602 million, up 7.39% on month and 20.22% on year, and January-February consolidated revenues of NT$1.162 billion, growing on year by 14.50%.

Lextar's board of directors on March 10 decided to distribute a cash dividend per share of NT$1.25 for 2013.
