Reportedly, SSAB Americas announced to raise its heavy plate prices further by US$20/short ton, supported by strong demand. It's learned that SSAB Americas' received orders increased after the company announced to hike its heavy plate prices on October 16th. Meanwhile, most of the US steelmakers have announced to raise heavy plate prices recently. ArcelorMittal North America announced to hike heavy plate prices by US$50/short ton on October 4th; Nucor increased heavy plate prices by US$30/short ton on October 17th.
