Tire Discounters Inc. plans to open a dozen locations in the Nashville, Tenn., area by early 2015. The company's latest expansion will begin in spring 2014 with the opening of a store the city of Nashville.
The company anticipates opening locations in Mt. Juliet, Smyrna, Bellevue, Hendersonville and Brentwood in the first half of 2014. With at least a dozen locations planned for the Nashville region over the next 15 months, Tire Discounters will be hiring more than 120 Nashville area residents to operate its stores.
"Our owner and founder Chip Wood resides in Tennessee and has been dedicated to bringing Tire Discounters to his friends and neighbors," says Jamie Ward, Tire Discounters executive vice president. "We know when Nashville area residents are invited into a Tire Discounters, they'll be entering an entirely different tire store experience."
Each new location will feature a clean, comfortable showroom with clear views of the shop area so customers can watch their vehicles being repaired. Customers can also monitor the work being performed on their cars through live video feeds in the waiting room. Patrons will also have access to complimentary Wi-Fi, a refreshment bar, and six television screens to further enrich their customer experience.
Tire Discounters says it sets high, eco-friendly standards in both store construction and ongoing store operations. Construction includes the use of energy efficient glass throughout the store and recycled rubber materials in landscaping. Other green initiatives include recycled oil and tire programs as well as nitrogen tire inflation.
Tire Discounters has 89 locations throughout the Midwest, employs more than 900 people and is No. 9 on the MTD 100. The company is based in Cincinnati.
