Trade Resources Market View Taiwan Stainless Steel Transaction Dropped

Taiwan Stainless Steel Transaction Dropped

In the beginning of April, because of the low nickel price of around US$16, 000/ton, the Taiwan stainless steel transaction dropped. The nickel price in LME seemed not stable in April, since it fell to below US$16,000/ton, it dropped further to US$15,200/ton last week. Due to weak demand, most buyers are holding an attitude to wait and see. Meanwhile, the sellers are not willing to offer the price and just waiting for the request from the buyers. Last week, the transaction of stainless steel performed not well and some distributors began to cut the price to clean the stock. It is estimated that the Taiwan stainless steel market would probably face a tough challenge this week.
