China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan is going to release it list price for electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rods for next January.
Industry sources said that CSC might remain its list prices for EF Al-killed wire rod prices unchanged for next January as raw material prices have increased while China's steel wire prices have dropped.
At present, the spot iron ore prices have surged to US$136~US$137/ton and the quotes of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan have increased to US$375/ton CFR, pushing up CSC's input costs.
Meanwhile, it's learned that cut its list prices by NT$400/ton to NT$20,400/ton for December.
