A team comprising of architects and students from Liverpool has won the grand final of the Nightgeist architectural lighting competition organised by Bega.
In the final,which pitted the winning teams from ten regional events against each other,participants were challenged to light different areas of the Albert Hall to be in with the chance of winning a trip to the Berlin Festival of Lights.
The winning team,representing Weightman Bullen Architects,Woolerton Dodwell landscape architects,Castlewood Properties and the Liverpool John Moores University was recognised for a scheme that lit the accoustic'mushrooms'on the Albert Hall ceiling.
Highly commended went to a scheme by London architectural practice Terry Farrell and Partners.
