German sports car manufacturer Porsche has unveiled the limited edition 911 sports coupe, prior to its global debut at the upcoming International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, which would commence from 12 September 2013.
Based on the 911 Carrera S, the new coupe is powered by a 3.8L flat-six cylinder engine that generates an output of 400hp and can either be mated to a seven-speed manual transmission or the carmaker's PDK dual-clutch unit.
The limited edition model sprints from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 300km/h, while offering a fuel consumption of 9.5l/100km.
Features of the new wide body, rear wheel drive model include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which would complement its improved track width and support cornering dynamics, and also has a sport exhaust system, special 20-inch wheels and Porsche Dynamic Light System.
Porsche will limit the production of special edition model to 1963 units, which will be on sale at the company's dealerships from 23 September 2013.
