Reportedly, European engineering steel price has increased slightly in April this year due to increasing scrap surcharge recently. Meanwhile, some of major German producers such as Georgsmarienhütte, Lech Stahlwerke, Deutsche Edelstahlwerke and Saarstahl have raised their surcharges for hot rolled products by €2/ton which came to €242/ton. French Ascométal has also increased its surcharge by €2/ton to €233/ton. However, European steel market will expect to slow down for while unless the market is being improved this year.
