Global beverage major Coca-Cola has closed on deals to give new distribution territory to Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution and Coca-Cola Beverages Florida.
Reyes Holdings's subsidiary Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution will bottle and distribute Coca-Cola products in greater Chicago area and Northwest Indiana, while Coca-Cola Beverages Florida will distribute in Central Florida including Tampa/St. Petersburg, Ft. Myers, Ft. Pierce, Lakeland and Sarasota.
Great Lakes' entire sales and distribution activities will be used to serve Coca-Cola brands.
Coca-Cola and its new bottling partners will jointly work to grant exclusive territory rights and the sale by Coca-Cola Refreshments of distribution assets and cold drink equipment.
The companies will also implement an improved, more integrated information technology platform.
Coca-Cola North America president Sandy Douglas said: "The announcement today with two of our newest bottling partners - Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution, L.L.C. and Coca-Cola Beverages Florida - is further evidence of that commitment.
"As we continue to align our US operations with highly capable partners in order to move our refranchising efforts forward, both bottlers will be instrumental as we implement a more agile, modern, customer-focused beverage partnership model."
