According to statistic released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the country’s imports of stainless steel flat products totaled 39,637 tons in October, falling by 4.95% from a month ago but soaring by 42.19% year on year.
The country’s import values generated by stainless steel flat products totaled US$89.20 million in October, down by 7% from September but jumping by 28.62% year on year.
In October, the country’s imports of stainless steel flats from Taiwan fell by 25.74%; those from Korea surged by 253.95%, both compared to the figures in the same month of 2012.
In the January-October period, Turkey’s imports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 390,428 million tons, rising by 30.41% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country’s import values generated by stainless steel flats totaled US$923.72 million, rising by 19.21% year on year.
