Japan exported 57,000 tons of stainless steel flat products in February, decreasing by 19.7% from a month ago but increasing by 6.8% from a month ago, according to the data released Japan's Ministry of Finance. In February, the country's exports of stainless steel flat products to Korea totaled 13,744 tons, falling by 24.4%; those to China were at 9,056 tons, slumping by 50.2%, both compared to those in the same month of 2012. In the first two months of this year, Japan's exports of stainless steel flat products totaled 110,386 tons, decreasing by 4.2% year on year.
