Recently, the MOFCOM released Analysis on the Medicine Circulation Industry in the First Half of 2015 and its Development Projection. It analyzed the sales, profits and capital operation of medicine circulation industry in the first half of 2015, pointed out the main characteristics of medicine circulation industry and predicted the industrial development.
The sales of seven major categories of medicine amounted to RMB841 billion, going up 12.4% year on year, with a drop of 1.7 percentage point. Among others, the sales value from medicine retail markets registered RMB168.2 billion, up 8.7% year on year barring non-comparable factors, with a drop of 0.3 percentage point compared with last year. The main business income from 1200 medicine circulation enterprises reached RMB658.1 billion, up 12.8% year on year with a drop of 2.1 percentage point. The total profit stood at RMB10.8 billion, going up 11.5% year on year barring the non-comparable factors with a drop of 2.4 percentage points. The average profit rate came to 1.6% with a drop of 0.2 percentage point year on year barring the non-comparable factors. The average gross profit rate was 6.4%, decreasing 0.6 percentage point over the same period of last year. The average cost rate was 5%, remaining unchanged year on year.
It’s projected that the market demands will see a steady slowdown in the next half year and the medicine circulation industry will come to a new normal of medium-low speed development with meager profit.
