The Opening Ceremony of the 21st Lanzhou Investment & Trade Fair and the Forum for the Silk Road Cooperative Development was held in Lanzhou on July 7, 2015.
Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Ma Peihua attended the conference and announced the opening. Secretary of Gansu province Wang Sanyun, Deputy Representative of International Trade Negotiation of the Ministry of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen attended and addressed the conference. The Deputy-Premier of the guest of honor Belarus Anatoly Kalinin, the Minister of Agriculture Iskenderbek Aydaraliyev, the Executive Officer of the UN Industrial Development Organization Celestine Mongo, Deputy Director of China Center for International Economic Exchange Zhang Xiaoqiang, Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council Long Guoqiang delivered speeches focusing on the topics of “expanding the opening to the West, developing the Silk Road and promoting the communication and cooperation. Deputy Secretary and Governor of Gansu province Liu Weiping presided over the forum.
This forum was hosted by the Ministry of commerce, the people’s government of Gansu province and China Center for International Economic Exchange and jointly organized by the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office and the Economic Cooperation Bureau of Gansu. Attending the forum are more than 400 people from the delegations of the foreign governments, the organizations of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, the embassies in China, and the representatives of the ministries, the related provincial and municipal governments, the association of trade and commerce, and the representatives of famous enterprises at home and abroad.
During the conference, Deputy Representative of International Trade Negotiation Zhang Xiaochen accompanied the Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Ma Peihua to tour the main exhibition hall and attended the opening ceremony of the hall of the guest of honor Belarus.
This conference, aiming at “opening, development, cooperation and development” and themed on “jointly constructing the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ and promoting the mutual benefit and win-win result”, established a platform for the win-win cooperation of the countries along the line of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and in the central and western regions by many investment and trade negotiations, exhibition and selling activities such as the high-end forum, the activities of the guest of honor Belarus and the World Gansu Entrepreneurs Convention 2015.
