Chicken Biryani in UK Is Being Recalled by Iceland

UK-based frozen food retailer Iceland is recalling chicken biryani as some of the products have been incorrectly filled with prawn curry due to a packaging error, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The affected product contains wheat, milk, mustard and prawns. Consumers who are allergic or intolerant to wheat, milk, mustard and prawns have been asked not to consume this product.

The product affected by this recall is Iceland Chicken Biryani, 500g, with a best before date of 3 October 2013.

Iceland will display notices in stores, explaining the reason behind the recall. The company has also contacted the relevant allergy support organizations, which will notify their members about the issue.

No other Iceland products are known to be affected. Consumers who have bought the product can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
