Cross-Straits Association of Economic and Trade Exchange's 9th Visit to Taiwan for Cross-Straits Food Exhibition 2015

The Cross-Straits Food Exhibition 2015, jointly held by Cross-Straits Association of Economic and Trade Exchange and Taiwan Trade Center, opened in Nangang exhibition hall, Taiwan Trade Center, on June 24. Since 2007, Cross-Straits Association of Economic and Trade Exchange has held the exhibition in Taipei for nine consecutive years and attracted a great number of mainland’s enterprises to attend the exhibition. A total of 88 mainland’s enterprises with over 200 people from Beijing city, Hebei province, Liaoning province, Jiangsu province, Zhejing province, Fujian province, Shandong province, Henan province, Hunan province, Chongqing city, Yunnan province, Shaan xi province, Gansu province and Xinjiang province attended the exhibition with a total of 96 booths covering an area of about 1,000 square meters. The products on show include ordinary food, health-care food, farm products and aquatic products, ingredients and drinks.

Attending the opening ceremony were Vice President of Cross-Straits Association of Economic and Trade Exchange Wang Hui, Honorary Chairman of Taiwan Coalition of Service Industries Zhang Pingzhao, Secretary-General of Taiwan Trade Center Huang Wenrong, Director of Cross-Straits Association of Economic and Trade Center (Taipei office) Ren Luohong, Deputy Director of China Nongken Economic Development Center Wu Jinyu, Chairman of Taipei Business Association Wang Yingjie, Convener of Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei Lin Weibang, President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Gansu provincial committee Wang Junxu and Deputy Inspector of Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission He Xinbo as well as representatives of mainland’s exhibitors. Wang Hui and Huang Wenrong addressed the opening ceremony.

During the exhibition, the Cross-Straits Association of Economic and Trade Exchange and Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei jointly held “Cross-Straits Food Matchmaking Fair”, which has been holding six sessions and is of strong realistic significance. More and more cross-straits enterprises hope to display their ability, make friends and expand markets through this platform, and connect the mainland’s great market and rich resource with Taiwan’s characteristics products, processing technology and management experience via one to one trade negotiation so as to promote further integrated development of cross-straits development and mutually improve the livelihood of people from both sides.
