Second Meeting of Coordination Working Team of China-Belarus Industrial Park Held in Beijing

The Second Meeting of the Coordination Working Team of the China-Belarus Industrial Park was held in Beijing on the afternoon of December 22.

Chinese Representative of International Trade Negotiations and Vice Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan, who is also the Chinese leader of the working team, jointly presided over the meeting with Belarusian Minister of Economy Nickolay Snopkov the Belarus leader of the working team.

Attending the meeting were Deputy Leader of the Working Team and Deputy Director of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Huang Danhua, Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen, representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Export-Import Bank of China, China Development Bank, the China National Machinery Industry Corporation, China National Engineering Consultancy Company, the Belarusian Ministry of Economy, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government of Minsk Voblast, the Management Committee of the China-Belarus Industrial Park and joint venture development companies of the industrial park.

Participants listened to the reports on the work of the China-Belarus industrial park by both members of the working team, agreed on such various working plans as project bidding, construction, financial support, investment promotion and system optimization focusing on next working goals, defined responsibilities and obligations of both sides and refined working schedules and primary time nodes. Both sides agreed to strengthen supervision, vigorously implement the plan and make sure that all work can be done on time. After the meeting, both sides signed the Meeting Minutes of the Second Meeting of the Working Team.

In late September 2014, when visiting Belarus, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli reached important consensus with Belarusian leaders on accelerating the construction of the China-Belarus Industrial Park. Both sides agreed to set up the Coordination Working Team of the China-Belarus Industrial Park jointly led by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy of Belarus and jointly promote the construction of the industrial park with relevant departments, enterprises and financial organizations of both sides. On October 21, both sides held the first meeting of the Working Team in Beijing.
