This topsy turvy home embodies the tiny village of Szymbark in northern Poland. The house was designed by a Polish businessman and philanthropist Daniel Czapiewski. ?The upside down house was originally created as a piece of art to mark the end of the communist era in Poland. This house's exterior may look simply splendid, but the interior is a whole other story.

The house's internal design proved to be quite the challenge during the construction process. The interior orientation took workers?five times longer than a conventional house to construct. One of the main reason's why is the disorientation that the tradesmen experience while working on the upside down house.

In 2007, the house was completed, however nowadays the house is a tourist destination that attracts 1000's of visitors every year. The home's orientation allows for the visitors to enter in through a roof window, which is located on the ground floor. The interior furnishings of the house include a decor of something you may have found during the communist era.
