Wangen Pumps has introduced the new Wangen Twin 70 screw pump which features hygienic design and low flow rates. The compact pump is ideal for the food & beverage and cosmetics industry. It handles viscous products with flow rates in the 100 l/h - 15 m³/h range. At drinktec 2013, Wangen pumps will be presenting the Wangen Twin 70 for the first time (16 – 20 September 2013, Munich Trade Fair, Hall A3, booth 104).
The Wangen Twin 70 has been designed to handle medium to high viscosity or gaseous products in the 100 l/h - 15 m³/h range. Wangen Twin screw pumps with flow rates up to 40 m³/h and up to 100 m³/h respectively have been in the product portfolio since 2012. The Wangen Twin series features hygienic design in compliance with EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group) standards, minimizing contamination during production and enhancing system cleanability.
Klaus Renzelmann, Screw Pump Product Manager at Wangen Pumps, highlighted: “Featuring low flow rates and hygienic design, the new Wangen Twin 70 is particularly suitable for small production volumes in the food & beverage industry. It provides a pathway for SMEs to automated production.” The pumps deliver reliable operation with products such as juice concentrate, yeast mixtures, yogurt, fruit preparations and bread dough. They can also handle delicate, viscous cosmetic products such as creams and ointments.
As of June 2013, Wangen had already sold several dozen Wangen Twin 70 pumps.
