The Skoda Rapid Spaceback has been teased ahead of its upcoming unveiling and likely Frankfurt motor show debut in September.
Highlighting the Skoda Rapid Spaceback's glass rear hatch, roof-mounted rear spoiler and left-hand tail-light, the new teaser shot all but confirms the car as the new compact Czech wagon, following a more tightly cropped initial teaser seen last week.
Designed to sit below the Skoda Octavia wagon, and spied testing earlier in the month, the Spaceback features extended rear doors, larger rear quarter windows and a sloping black tailgate.
While details of the Rapid Spaceback remain light, the liftback?sedan is due to go on sale locally in the coming months powered by a choice of two turbocharged petrol engines – a 77kW/175Nm 1.2-litre and a 90kW/200Nm 1.4-litre – with a 1.6-litre diesel option to follow.
If it gets the green light for our market, the Skoda Rapid Spaceback should reach local showrooms in 2014.
