Fluke has introduced a K-Type Temperature Module as part of the new Fluke CNX 3000 system of wireless troubleshooting tools.

Fluke Introduces a Wireless K-Type Temperature Module

With the Fluke CNX t3000 K-Type Wireless Temperature Module connected to a test point, the results can be viewed up to 20 metres away on a Fluke CNX Wireless Multimeter or a computer. All Fluke CNX modules can send live or logged measurements to a computer using a PC adapter. The Fluke CNX system allows users to place modules in hazardous or awkward places and then watch and record the readings from a safe distance. The CNX Wireless Multimeter can serve as the hub for the system and can show readings from four types of wireless modules: AC current clamp, iFlex current clamp, AC voltage, and temperature. It can display all four readings in real-time, at the same time, on the same screen, all from up to 20 metres away.

The Fluke CNX t3000 K-Type Wireless Temperature Module features a back-lit LCD display and captures temperature measurements from -200°C to +1372°C with ±0.5% accuracy.  It can store up to 65,000 sets of time stamped min/max/avg readings.  It comes complete with an 80PK-1 K-Type Bead Thermocouple and a magnetic hanging strap, at a recommended price in the UK of just £109. An optional £39 CNX pc3000 Wireless PC Adapter and Software wirelessly offers real-time PC recording or graphing of data from the Temperature Module up to 20 metres away. The software also enables the user to download logged data from the module.

The Fluke CNX Wireless System is the first set of test tools that wirelessly connects multiple measurement modules and sends simultaneous readings to a master device up to 20 metres away, allowing users to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently. Based on their troubleshooting needs, a user can choose other wireless modules in the family which include AC Voltage, AC Current Clamp, and Flexible AC Current Loop units.

For more complex troubleshooting, users can view live measurements from up to 10 modules simultaneously on a PC equipped with the CNX PC Adapter, with customised CNX module parameters and settings, including the module name, logging interval and duration of the logging session.
