Where is design headed? What will light and life be like in 2050? Touch pads, iPod lighting controls, and LED super lighting. A few years ago all of this would seem quite unbelievable, yet it's here and it's only 2013. It's hard to imagine what design and lighting will be like in 2050. Hover vehicles, reduction of our reliance upon natural resources and abundance for all seem like some of the things that may encompass the earth's future.

But where does design fall into this? Everywhere! Design is the key element to:
new earth and people friendly developments, design efficiency related to everyday objects, and yes… new and better lighting and design components that will enable for incredible lamp shades, lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and advanced light sources to emerge.
