Franz Sill GmbH in Berlin has been purchased by Hoffmeister.
The company, which manufactures floodlights, luminaires and projectors, went into preliminary administration in September.
Hoffmeister, also based in Germany, has a product range spanning technical spotlights, track and downlights to pendants, wall lights and exterior projectors.
Bob Bohannon is former general manager and now part-time consultant to Sill Lighting UK, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Franz Sill. He said: "It is intended that the Berlin operation of Sill will continue to develop, manufacture and support their projectors."

After Franz Sill GmbH went into administration, it had three months to work out a way forward. Expressions of interest were sought and, according to Bohannon, these were narrowed down to a shortlist of three.?
"It has been a positive and constructive process," he said.
