It is proven here that Bocci's 14.1 Glass Pendant Light is capable of producing lighting schemes that the average pendant could only hope to achieve. The 14.1 Pendant was created to obstruct the common thought of a chandelier's design. Giving way to a central, sculptural installation that involves the entire focus of the room. Designed by Omer Arbel in 2005, this original chandelier achieves this through a strategic design of composition and clustering. Filling the space of the room with height, light, and shape.

The 14 series pendant is created from a seamed cast glass sphere with a frosted hollow inside that houses a low voltage or LED light bulb. The specialized design was created to look good alone or in a cluster. The purposeful bubble and imperfections within the cast glass help to produce "a glow reminiscent of small candles floating within spheres of water." Each of the 14 series pendants are handmade, thus ensuring that every piece produced is completely unique. The 17 pictures shown in this blog post are proof that the designer's theory works.
