Srt Viper Broke Cover at The 2012 New York Auto Show

SRT Viper Production Line Video: a Snake Takes Shape

A video showing an SRT Viper coming together at Chrysler’s newly reopened Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit – known as the Snake Pit–has been released, compliments of The New York Times.

From motor, to frame, to body, to final start-up, the sped-up footage shows the new-generation sports car coming to life.

The new fifth-generation SRT Viper broke cover at the 2012 New York auto show with a 477kW/814Nm 8.4-litre V10 engine under its bonnet, and along with the just-released seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray remains one of America’s classic muscle cars.
