The Japan based Yoy design studio expresses that tiny place between reality and the unseen via light and product design. This pendant light works with the idea that the pendant light has been frozen in mid-air while swinging, leaving behind it a small frozen light trail.

The LED light source and the trace of light is made from a system of PMMA optical ber, aka Poly(methyl methacrylate). Commonly used to replace glass, PMMA is a transparent thermoplastic that is often used as a lightweight or shatter-resistant alternative to glass.
