UK-First the champagne flowed at the Martin Professional stand at Earl's Court in London in celebration of the company's 25th Anniversary, then it flowed again a short time later when the MAC Viper Profile won a PLASA Award for Innovation,in which it was pronounced"a new benchmark for automated lighting spots."And all that before the real party got started at a special VIP event held at live music venue Under the Bridge.
PLASA 2012 proved a resounding success on all levels for Martin, not only for the MAC Viper Profile accolade but also due to a crowded stand and high level of interest in Martin's other featured products like the MAC III AirFX,MAC III Wash and VC series of creative LED video.
"We reached all of our goals at PLASA and then some, and managed to have a lot of fun in the process,"stated Martin UK sales director Mike Walker."The response to the MAC Viper Profile was phenomenal and the award really was the icing on the cake.We want to thank all our friends for celebrating with us and for making this PLASA one to remember."
Martin also drew large crowds for a prize draw at the Martin stand each day of the show in which a lucky winner went home with either a MAC Aura or M2PC lighting controller.Winners were Chris Easton(MAC Aura)from Cripps Hall(University of Nottingham),lighting designer Keith Gabriel(M2PC)of Lighting By and James Braybrome from Made Up Ltd(M2PC).
