The Dama Light's glass lamp shade is made from 100% recycled glass, with a base made from PEFC-certified beech timber. Each piece is completely unique from any other, and although the difference in details is said not to be extreme each one has the ability to shine its light in a whole new way than any other.

Handmade in Barcelona, Spain the light bulb used is a newer design that has emerged into the light bulb market since the introduction of the twisted design of the widely used CFL. The Plumen light bulb encompasses the "Eco-Design" aspect of the design with its energy efficiency and long lasting components. The Dama Light won the Brit Insurance Design of the Year in 2011 (one of the world's highest profile international design awards).
