What would life be like if computer pixels came to life? What if you could touch, turn and even sit on those pixels that you normally just see on the screen? This artist's interpretation gives you a real time look and feel of exactly what this would be like. Designed by Jonas Vorwerk, the Pixels light installation uses a three-dimensional grid of 15 inch glowing plastic light boxes to express a colorful virtual pixel reality.

The boxes are very similar to?Smart & Green's Big Cubb Lamp, except that each light box is waterproof, contains the electronic prototyping platform Arduino, a set of RGB LED's, a RF-Sensor, an IR-Sensor and a tilt switch.

The newest version of the Pixels installation is "Pixels 2.0" in which some of the upgrades include boxes that change color and intensity when rotated. To top it all off, each pixel block is wirelessly connected to the other, giving more possibilities for an out of this world real live virtual experience.
