Honda to Roll out 2016 Civic Sedan

Honda is set to launch its 2016 Civic Sedan in the US starting tomorrow, which has been redesigned from ground up.

According to Honda, its US R&D team has improved the overall quality, fuel efficiency, interior spaciousness of the car.

The Civic LX and EX trims will feature by 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine capable of producing 158hp, while the Touring models are powered by 1.5-liter DOHC TURBO engine capable of producing 174-horspower.

Honda has given the car a bolder and more aggressive look with sharp body lines along with a sporty fastback profile and premium features which includes LED exterior lighting.

To improve the ride quality, Honda increased the wheelbase by 1.2-inch when compared to its predecessor, and the car has been given a 2-inch wider body and wider track making it more athletic.

Honda used Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure to create the car, which has helped make the cabin quite and also improves the performance.

For the safety of the passenger and driver, Honda has used Collision Mitigation Braking System Lane Keeping Assist and Road Departure Warning in the car.

Honda senior vice president Jeff Conrad said: "The new Honda Civic offers incredible value and a fun-to-drive spirit that will take a lot of customers by surprise.

"This tenth generation Civic exemplifies the incredible engineering strength of Honda and our capacity to deliver something altogether new, unexpected and thrilling for our customers."
