Volkswagen of America is set to introduce a production version of the Passat Performance Concept - 'Passat Sport', in early 2014.
The new Passat Sport sedan will join the Passat line-up between the SE and the SEL Premium trims.
Passat Sport is equipped with the new 1.8L EA888 Gen 3 turbocharged and direct-injection four-cylinder engine. It offers 170HP and 184lbft of torque.
It features 19-inch Luxor wheels, a rear spoiler, foglights, an interior with sport comfort seats, carbon trim accents, aluminum sport pedals, paddle shifters with automatic transmission, stainless steel door sills, and Sport-specific floor mats.
The vehicle is available in three exterior colors including Urano Gray, Candy White, and Tungsten Silver.
Other features of the new vehicle include Volkswagen Car-Net, Premium VIII touchscreen sound system with HD Radio, automatic headlights, rearview camera, heatable front seats and leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with audio and phone controls.
