Nature's Emporium Recalls Prune Concentrate That Maybe Contaminated with Salmonella

Nature's Emporium is voluntarily recalling Baby Move brand Prune Concentrate - a dietary supplement, as the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The affected product, Baby Move brand Prune Concentrate with Prebiotics, is sold in 120ml glass bottles and packaged in individual boxes, bearing UPC 729609019878. All codes up to and including lot number 12179 are affected by this recall.

This product was sold at Nature's Emporium, Ontario, from January 2012 to July 2012. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.

Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled. However, consumption of food contaminated with this bacteria may cause Salmonellosis, a foodborne illness. Salmonellosis may cause serious and sometimes deadly infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
