The NEC Group operates 19 constantly busy halls at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre, as well as the National Indoor Arena (NIA) multi-purpose sports and entertainment venue in the city centre.

The purchase was co-ordinated for the NEC Group by resource manager for rigging, Rob O'Donnell, who worked closely with AC-ET's rigging sales specialist, Matthew Millward.

Adding to their existing stock of over 100 x 1-tonne CM Lodestar hoists, O'Donnell explains his confidence in the CM Entertainment brand - for which AC-ET are the exclusive reseller and servicing agent in the UK - "CM provide quality kit, which is ideal for conference and exhibition applications... the motors are rugged, easy to maintain, virtually indestructible and will simply work - and keep working - reliably year after year."

The CM Entertainment range of industry standard electric chain hoists is synonymous worldwide with quality, reliability and durability.

As part of the package, AC-ET provided a flightcasing solution to house the Lodestar motors. Designed to be sturdy, flexible and user-friendly, the flightcases allow O'Donnell and his team to easily store and transport their inventory around the NEC's many venues.

In addition to the CM motors, the NEC Group also purchased four Out Board Electronics DV8 8-channel direct control hoist controllers, which provide eight channels of direct hoist control complete with industry standard Socapex control/power connectors and internal sub-assemblies for optimum serviceability.
