Honda Introduces 2016 Civic Coupe

Honda has announced that its 10th-generation 2016 Civic Coupe will debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show followed by market launch in March next year.

The car has been given a sporty new look with new chassis, longer wheelbase, and shortened front overhang, a lower and more steeply raked roofline, and rear taillight design.

Users will get to choose between two engine variants, which include a 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine capable of producing 158 horsepower and 138 lb.-ft. of torque, and 1.5-liter DOHC direct-injected TURBO engine capable of producing 174 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque.

Just like the improvements made outside, the car's interior has also undergone certain changes which includes usage of high-quality materials and high-contrast finishes to create soft-touch instrument panel and new color TFT center meter.

When compared to its predecessor 2016 Civic Coupe has 8.4 cubic feet of extra space, with legroom is increased by more than 5 inches.

American Honda Motor senior vice president Jeff Conrad said: "We continue on our epic 10th-generation Civic journey with the sportiest, most sophisticated and tech-savvy Civic Coupe yet.

"I think our customers are going to be utterly surprised by what this new Coupe delivers in terms of refinement, safety, efficiency and fun-to-drive performance."
